Facial/Neck Treatments
Neuromodulators
Opioid Peptides
Out with the old, in with the new. Neuromodulators are wrinkle-relaxing injections derived from botulinum toxin that are used to stop wrinkles in their tracks. Commercially known as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau, these anti-wrinkle injections can be used to treat wrinkles, frown lines, and crow’s feet.
Neuromodulators work by relaxing and preventing the muscles from contracting, resulting in smoother and younger-looking skin. While Botox is the most popular among the four, all of them can be used for the same purpose. Getting the best results depends on your facial profile, the target areas, and the medical knowledge of your surgeon.
Fillers
Don’t confuse this with Botox. Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines, and soften creases, or enhance facial contours, giving you a more youthful appearance. Botox and other neuromodulators reduce wrinkles by relaxing the muscles while dermal fillers are FDA-approved injectable implants that add volume to target sites and smooth wrinkles.
Dermal fillers can create natural-looking results and typically last anywhere from six to twelve months. The best thing about dermal fillers is you can see noticeable changes in your appearance even before leaving your doctor’s office.
Biostimulators
Collagen biostimulators are injected into the skin to “plump up” the skin and reverse the signs of aging. Biostimulators activate collagen renewal in the skin, restoring its inner structure, volume, and firmness.
This treatment addresses signs of aging including loose skin, deep folds, and wrinkles. It’s not a quick fix though. The results are gradual but guaranteed to last for as long as two years or even more. Patients who opt for this treatment experience high satisfaction as it offers more long-term results.
Microneedling
Microneedling is a dermaroller procedure that uses very fine needles to prick the skin. The purpose of treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. This procedure addresses a host of skin problems including acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin stone, sun damage, and age spots.
Microneedling can also be combined with other treatments like PRP or PRF for more optimal results. This is done in-office for as short as 30 minutes with little to no downtime.
Vampire facials(with PRF)
In a vampire facial, you are given a superficial facial treatment of some kind, such as microdermabrasion, needling, or acid peel treatment. The pricks used to create “micro-wounds” prompt the skin to heal itself by producing collagen and elastin and allows PRF to penetrate deeper. Then, the PRF that was extracted from your blood is topically applied to your skin (rubbed on the outside).
There are many benefits to vampire facials including increasing cell turnover, improving skin tone and texture, reducing wrinkles and other signs of aging, and clearing acne scars. While a vampire facial may look a bit “bloody”, it’s actually a non-surgical and minimally invasive method to achieve younger, brighter-looking skin.
Thread lifts
Thread lift is a popular cosmetic procedure for creating a refreshed, youthful look without having to wait for weeks or months to see the results. With a thread lift, you can get almost instant results with little to no downtime that last longer than other facelift procedures.
During a thread lift, dissolvable threads are inserted and strategically placed under the skin. Then, they’re pulled upwards to lift the face. This helps tighten and tone your skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
IPL
If you’re looking to improve the color and texture of your skin without surgery, IPL can definitely help with that. It’s a popular treatment for reducing the appearance of sun damage.
IPL or Intense Pulsed Light penetrates down to the second layer of your skin without harming the top layer so it causes less damage to your skin. Pigment cells in your skin absorb the light energy, which is converted into heat. The heat destroys the unwanted pigment to clear up freckles and other spots.
This treatment addresses several skin problems including freckles, brown spots, redness, scars, and wrinkles, giving you a more vibrant, younger-looking appearance. Some patients may see improvements in their skin shortly after their IPL treatment but the changes become more noticeable in the next two to four weeks.
Hair removal
Removing stubborn, unwanted hair on the upper lip, chin, or bikini line is possible with electrolysis. This may be a time-consuming procedure as each follicle is treated individually, but electrolysis is particularly effective on individual grey hairs. The FDA considers electrolysis a permanent hair removal method because it offers the best overall results.
In this procedure, a very tiny probe is inserted into the hair follicle first, then the hair is removed with tweezers. This can be relatively uncomfortable for some but doctors may apply an anesthetic cream to help with any pain you might experience during the procedure.
Forma for wrinkles
Forma treatment can tighten the skin, improve volume, and smooth away wrinkles. The Forma device is applied to the surface of your skin and sends low-frequency energy waves through the dermal layers, breaking down old collagen cells and forcing new ones to grow in their place. This tightens and strengthens your skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Forma skin tightening treatment is ideal for women and men who want to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, lines around the neck, and sagging skin around the neck or jawline.
Fractora resurfacing
Reveal your younger appearance with Fractora™ resurfacing. Fractora™ is a fractional skin resurfacing and subdermal tissue coagulation device that bridges the gap between fractional lasers and surgical procedures.
This anti-aging procedure restores the skin and reverses the signs of aging by using RF energy in combination with microneedles to encourage the production of collagen and elastin, making your skin smoother and tighter.
Fractora™ offers the same excellent results as other skin resurfacing procedures but with less downtime, recovery, and associated risks. Some of the benefits include minimized dark spots, improved skin tones and textures, and reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
Fraxel laser non ablative resurfacing
Fraxel® laser is another treatment for skin tightening and rejuvenation. This treatment can be used to improve the tone, texture, and radiance for aging, sun-damaged, or scarred skin. Fraxel® laser nonablative resurfacing works inside out by using laser energy to stimulate the growth of new, healthy skin cells from the underlying skin tissue to replace old, damaged cells.
This is a powerful treatment for common aesthetic skin problems such as acne scars, lines and wrinkles, sun damage, and uneven skin tone. In addition, Fraxel® is for people who want to look younger without dramatic changes or extended downtime.
CO2 láser resurfacing
Fractional CO2 laser is another skin treatment option to reduce the appearance of acne scars deep wrinkles, and other skin blemishes. Traditional CO2 lasers are associated with pain and discomfort. But with the latest SmartXide DOT CO2 laser treatment, risks and recovery time are significantly reduced.
In a SmartXide DOT CO2 laser, the laser beam is broken up or fractionated into many small micro beams which are separated so that when they strike the skin surface small areas of the skin between the beams are not hit by the laser and are left intact. These small areas or bridges of untreated skin promote rapid recovery and healing with less risk of complications.
Fractional CO2 laser is commonly used to treat scars but it can also treat other skin issues including age spots, crow’s feet, fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, and uneven skin tone.
Fat transfer to face
Fat transfer to the face is an advanced surgical technique involving taking excess fat from another area of the body and transferring it to the face to add volume to aging areas. Essentially, fat transfer to the face works like dermal fillers but offers better, longer-lasting, and more natural results.
Fat transfer does not only make you look younger. It also allows the surgeon the sculpt your body by removing excess fat thereby improving your tone and contour as well. This is a minimally invasive procedure so it comes with less downtime and less scarring.
